CelluCap™ C encapsulates Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (25% loading) for stable vitamin C skin brightening, smoothing and moisturization at 1–4%.

Encapsulated Lipophilic Derivative of Vitamin C for Anti-Aging and Skin Brightening

CelluCap™ C: A Multi-Functional Encapsulated Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate

CelluCap™ C is an innovative microencapsulation of Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, offering a highly effective and sustainable way to harness the benefits of this oil-soluble Vitamin C derivative. This advanced technology addresses common formulation challenges associated with free Vitamin C, such as discoloration and degradation, ensuring enhanced stability and efficacy.

Each microcapsule acts like an individual airtight package, protecting the active ingredient until it is applied to the skin. This ensures the Vitamin C remains potent and effective, delivering consistent results while enhancing the overall performance and shelf life of the formulation.

Formulation Benefits

  • Tagra's innovative delivery system ensures optimal isolation of Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, significantly enhancing its stability.

  • CelluCap™ C is supplied as a non-agglomerate powder, making it easy to incorporate into a base formulation during the final stage of preparation.

  • The formulation process is simplified by eliminating the need for stabilizers, special equipment, or pH adjustments.

  • Compatible with all types of cosmetic formulations, offering unmatched versatility.

  • Complies with global regulatory standards, providing worldwide acceptance for formulators.

CelluCap™ C: Significant Skin Brightening

Twelve females (aged 35-60 years old) treated with a formulation containing 3% w/w CelluCap™ C demonstrated an increase in skin brightening as indicated by measuring melanin levels (in-vitro) and ITA° angle. Cream was applied twice daily on face and on both outer forearms. Non-treated areas served as a baseline (t0w).

  • Intracellular melanin (NHEM, 72h): melanin levels were measured for a control, a UVA-irradiated control (UVA 30 J/cm²), and UVA-irradiated cells treated with 0.001% and 0.1% CelluCap™ C.

  • Increase of skin whitening index: ITA° values on the face and outer forearm were measured at t0w, t8w and t12w (* P<0.05 as compared to baseline).

CelluCap™ C: Smooths Skin and Improves Moisturization

The anti-aging effect of 2% w/w CelluCap™ C resulted in an average 23.22% reduction in skin roughness, as tested on five female volunteers treated with an O/W formulation.

  • Significant roughness reduction: Surface evaluation of living skin via Visioscan demonstrates a decrease in SEr parameter associated with reduction in depth of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Significantly improved skin moisturization: A relative measure of the retained water content of the skin as a function of the skin's dielectric value.
